Father and Son to Trek across Maine In honor of his 60th birthday, Dr. Jonathan Shill and his son Weber (TMG Practice Manager) will participate in the American Lung Association's Trek Across Maine. This will be the second time Dr. Shill pedals in the rigorous 180 mile event that reaches from Sunday River in Bethel all the way to Camden over a three day period. The event raises funds for the American Lung Association of Maine, a cause that is very important to the Shills. "As a family practitioner, I have tried to promote health through medicine, lifestyle changes and education all my professional life but Maine still has the highest adult and pediatric asthma rate in the U.S. About 2,300 Maine people die each year from tobacco related illnesses (and that does not include second hand smoke)," Dr. Shill explains, saying the trek is another way he can join the battle against big tobacco, bad air, and the asthma epidemic.
